Lost Step, Lost Track Boxing, also known as Yan Qing Boxing, dates back to the Northern Song Dyansty (AD 960-1096). A famous martial artist named Lu Junyi studied kung fu at the Shaolin Temple and later passed the art to Yan Qing. From Shandong, Yan Qing was one of the famous 108 Liangshan Mountain Heroes, described in the book Outlaws of the Marsh, or Water Margin. This style was passed from the Shaolin Temple in the Song Dynasty. It focuses on using internal energy with hand and foot coordination. Mi Zong Quan has sixteen fighting principles, empty hand and weapon sets.
